Ahead of the crucial Board exams 2024, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notice sharing information regarding the online portal for availing exemptions/facilities by students, particularly children with Special Needs (CwSN).
Earlier, the CBSE had asked all schools to update the status of CwSN students through the Pariksha Sangam portal. According to CBSE, CwSN students approach the Board just before the conduct of the examination with request to provide the facilities/ exemptions as per Board’s rule during the conduct of examinations.
The CBSE has urged CwSN students desire to avail the existing exemptions to make necessary requests through their respective schools.“The schools will log into the portal and the list of their CwSN students will be shown and the facilities permissible to each category of students as per their disability. If students wish to avail any of the facilities, the same is to be selected so that details would be made available in the admit card itself and centre superintendent will be instructed to make necessary arrangement for the same,” CBSE notice read.
The CBSE has further said, “If CwSN students wish to avail applicable facilities, the school will fill the details and upload documents on the portal from January 19 to January 24, 2024. No request for exemption will be entertained after January 24 and in offline mode.”
