Team India’s KL Rahul has had a comeback to remember as the wicketkeeper-batter scored his 8th Test century which saved India the blemishes and took the total to a respectable total going into Day 2.
The Bangalore man who has often been disregarded in recent times has time and again proven his skills for the Men in Blue and helped his side in times of ultimate pressure.
KL Rahul’s century came in just 133 balls and is being regarded as his best ever Test century for India considering the tricky Centurion pitch which got the better of most of the Indian batters in the Boxing Day Test.
KL Rahul also became the first ever overseas batter to score two centuries in this ground.

His century was followed by him being sent back to the pavilion by Nandre Burger as Team India was finally bowled out for 245 in the end.
What was once looking like a 180 run total, was later on fired to a respectable 245.
KL Rahul’s contribution on Day 1 and 2 has to be commended as he went on to register the biggest ever Test score by an Indian wicketkeeper-batter in South Africa. The last player to do so was Rishabh Pant who cored 100 in 2022.
