UPSC NDA Notification 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to release the notification for the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy (I) Exam 2024, today, i.e. on 20 December. The notification will be released on the official website i.e. upsc.nic.in. The candidates can apply from 20 December to 09 January 2024 on upsconline.nic.in. The dates regarding the application correction will be announced in due course.
Previously, a total of 395 vacancies will be filled for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA. We can also expect 300 to 400 vacancies for the year 2024. The notification along with the online application form shall also be provided here, once released.

UPSC NDA Exam Date 2024
The exam will be conducted on 21 April for all the applicants who will successfully submit their applications. The mode of the exam will be offline.

UPSC NDA 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- For admission to the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy, candidates are required to have completed the 12th grade under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or University.
- For the Air Force and Naval Wings of the National Defence Academy, as well as for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy, candidates must have passed the 12th grade with Physics and Mathematics, following the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent qualification from a State Education Board or University.
UPSC NDA 2024 Age Limit:
Only unmarried male/female candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 2005 and not later than 1st July, 2008 are eligible
UPSC NDA 2024 Selection Method
The candidates will be called for the written exam followed by the SSB Interview.
UPSC NDA Exam Pattern 2024
There will be 300 questions on Maths and 600 on General Ability Test. Each section will be given 2 hours and 30 minutes. There will be negative marking for wrong answers.

How to Apply for NDA Exam 2024: How to Submit Application ?
The candidates can check the steps to apply for the exam below:
- Step 1: Navigate to the UPSC Online website at upsconline.nic.in. The applicant must initiate the registration process on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform, conveniently accessible on the Commission’s website.
- Step 2: Upon successful registration, the applicant must log in (using Email ID, Mobile Number, or OTR ID) to verify the previously registered OTR application.
- Step 3: Access the Latest Notification tab within the OTR application.
- Step 4: Apply for the desired examination.
- Step 5: Complete the necessary details.
- Step 6: Upload the required documents.
- Step 7: Process the payment for the application fee.
UPSC NDA Syllabus 2024
- ENGLISH (Code No. 01) – The question paper will be designed to test the candidates’ understanding of
English and workmanlike use of words. - GENERAL KNOWLEDGE (Code No. 02) – General Knowledge including knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of
an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The paper will also include questions on History of India and the Geography of nature which the candidate should be able to answer without special study. - ELEMENTARY MATHEMATICS (Code No. 03) – Athmatic, Algebra, Trignometry, Geometry, Mensration, Statistics, Intelligence and Personality Test,
UPSC NDA Interview 2024
Those who clear the written exam will be called for SSB Interview, The SSB procedure consists of two stages – stage I and stage II.
Stage I – Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests which includes Picture Perception/Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on a combination of performance in the OIR Test and PP&DT.
Stage 2 – Comprises of Interviews, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days. The details of these tests are given on the website joinindianarmy.nic.in.
UPSC NDA Admit Card 2024
The admit cards will be made available for download three weeks before the examination. Candidates are obligated to obtain their admit cards from the commission’s website.
UPSC NDA Result 2024
The commission will publish a selection list containing the roll numbers or names of successful candidates. The result will be declared in a month.
